Every shopper confirms 18+ age eligibility and authenticates via Google Identity / Firebase Authentication before earning rewards. Accounts are strictly scoped to one authenticated member profile per individual.
About Dollarback & Advertiser Compliance
Dollarback (dollarback.com) is a consumer loyalty and cashback rewards platform built to connect registered shoppers with participating retail merchant storefronts. When members initiate a shopping session on Dollarback and complete a qualifying order, we share our earned affiliate referral commission back with the shopper as direct cash rewards.
2. Opaque Non-PII Sub-ID Tracking
When a member clicks a store offer, Dollarback generates an opaque alphanumeric click token (click_id matching ^[a-zA-Z0-9_-]{8,64}$) passed via subId1 (Impact.com) or sid (CJ Affiliate)—never containing PII.
3. Server-Validated Webhook Ledger
Conversion postbacks from affiliate networks (Impact Tech, Inc. & Commission Junction LLC) are validated server-side via authenticated Cloud Functions. Client-side balance writes are strictly blocked by Firestore security rules.
4. Bona Fide Loyalty Payouts
Cashback remains in Pending status throughout the merchant return and validation window before moving to your Available Balance. Members can request a Venmo payout once their Available Balance reaches $1.00 or more.
Bona Fide Loyalty, Privacy & Charge-Back Standards (Impact.com & CJ Affiliate)
Dollarback operates strictly as a transparent, user-initiated shopping directory and loyalty publisher in full accordance with both the Impact.com Partner User Agreement (Sections 1.2(c), 3.1, 5.2(v), 6.4, 10.3(d), and 10.5) and the CJ Affiliate Publisher Service Agreement (Sections 1(d), 2(b)–(e), 3(b), 6, 8(b), and 8(c)):
- Clear & Conspicuous FTC Disclosures (Impact Sec 10.5 & FTC 16 CFR Part 255): Every store directory, marquee section, and retailer detail page displays an accessible
ⓘ Advertising Disclosuretrigger directly above or adjacent to merchant listings (opening an interactive disclosure dialog), in addition to our permanent sitewide footer disclosure. - Independent Publisher Status — No Implied Endorsement or Partnership (CJ Sec 8(c)): Dollarback is an independent affiliate publisher. Nothing on Dollarback creates or implies any partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, sales representative relationship, sponsorship, or official endorsement between Dollarback and any participating retailer.
- Affirmative User-Initiated Clicks Only (CJ Sec 1(d)(ii), 2(c) & Impact Sec 1.2(b)): Redirects occur exclusively when an individual shopper intentionally clicks a merchant CTA button on Dollarback. We never employ forced redirects, pop-unders, or automatic background navigation.
- Zero PII in Tracking Codes & Active Opt-Out (CJ Sec 2(d), 6(c), 6(e)(II)–(III)): Outbound
sid/subId1parameters strictly use opaque random alphanumeric tokens and never transmit Directly Identifiable Information (email, name, IP, or raw UID). Visitors can opt out of affiliate tracking at any time (db_tracking_consent = opted_out), which immediately suppresses all outboundsid/subId1/click_idparameters. - 5-Point Charge-Back & Reversal Reconciliation (CJ Sec 3(b) & Impact Sec 3.1): Member cashback ledgers distinguish between
pending_balanceandavailable_balance. Credited cashback is automatically reversed ("Charged-back") in the event of: (1) product returns or cancellations, (2) duplicate entry or clear reporting error, (3) non-bona fide transactions (including self-referrals, bots, or multiple leads from the same IP), (4) non-receipt or refund of payment to the visitor by the advertiser, or (5) failure to comply with the advertiser's program terms.
Anti-Fraud, Traffic Integrity & Acceptable Use Policy
To protect advertiser return on ad spend (ROAS) and comply with Impact.com Partner User Agreement Section 10.3(d) and CJ Affiliate Publisher Service Agreement Section 1(d)(ii) & Section 2(c), Dollarback enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy against invalid traffic and attribution manipulation:
- No Self-Referral Gaming, Multi-Accounting, or Same-IP Lead Abuse: Members are limited to a single authenticated account. Creating duplicate accounts, submitting multiple leads or transactions from the same individual, entity, or IP address (CJ Sec 1(d)(ii)), or purchasing items for resale or return manipulation results in immediate account termination and balance forfeiture.
- No Cookie-Stuffing, Hidden Iframes, or Forced Clicks: Dollarback strictly prohibits and never deploys hidden iframes, 1x1 tracking pixels that drop affiliate cookies without a user click, pop-ups/pop-unders, or browser extensions that overwrite existing affiliate attribution cookies.
- No Unauthorized Coupon Codes: Dollarback only publishes promotional offers and links explicitly authorized for affiliate channel distribution. We do not scrape or publish private employee discounts, leaked promo codes, or non-commissionable voucher codes.
- No Trademark Bidding (TM+) or Brand Impersonation: Dollarback does not bid on advertiser trademarked terms, brand misspellings, or "brand + coupon/cashback" keywords in paid search (Google Ads, Bing Ads) without explicit written authorization from the advertiser.
- No Automated Bots or Synthetic Traffic: All outbound click events and conversion webhooks are monitored for anomalous velocity, automated scripts, headless browsers, and proxy abuse.
